Big numbers were on show again in Garryowen yesterday as our youth academy took to the field again to be put through their paces. 3 stations were set up with Sarfraz working on the pull shot as well as incorporating some ground fielding, Arsalan Khalid was demonstrating how to run between the wickets and emphasising the importance of calling while Chris thought the fundamentals of bowling using ladders and stumps as part of a very effective drill. Training was finished up with a game of 'Stump-ball' where the adult coaches got dished a sizeable beating from the youth cohort- not the best start to their pre season for sure!

With that in mind, adult training will commence this Wednesday at 6pm in Adare. Only registered members of the club may attend due to COVID-19 protocols, anyone looking to attend who is not a member must contact 085-7540538 ASAP.
